Pyreos - Infrared Sensor Arrays

Pyreos is continually striving to improve the performance of, and add further value to our products, so that our customers can continue to have the most competitive offerings in their chosen markets, and to develop new markets. At Pyreos we have a number of development programs based around our core technology with two highlighted below.

One of our aims at Pyreos is to help create with partner OEMs and system integrators a new breed of advanced IR based detector products with the performance to eliminate false alarms completely, so that end-users can have 100% confidence in the quality of the information received. We believe the resolution of our IR sensor arrays is a major step forward in this aim, but we continue to work on economically embedding further electronic functionality into our components and creating truly intelligent sensor arrays.

We have an active research and development program in novel low cost packaging developed primarily for infrared camera applications. This packaging approach offers all the emc and esd protection you would expect to our key sensor array component, whilst at the same time integrating a hermetically sealed IR window optic into the array component package. This automated process can dramatically reduce overall package costs, and when combined with our thin film PZT sensor arrays offers a route to lower cost infrared camera products. This process is currently in development with a manufacturing partner and with input from an established semiconductor equipment vendor.
