Gas Sensor Products
Pyreos has a range of high responsivity single, dual and quad channel gas sensors packaged in industry standard TO packages for NDIR gas detection applications. Our products offer new levels of performance outperforming all leading brands of pyroelectric gas sensors in responsivity, product stability with regard to temperature change, electrical, vibration, pressure changes, and can operate out to higher frequencies enabling more sampling with the consequent improved signal to noise. Our single and dual channel products are developed as easy replacements for leading brands with similar pin-outs, filter specifications, and an industry standard voltage output, minimising the need for customer redesign whilst offering improved performance.
Our range of gas sensor products have a responsivity in the region of 150,000V/W, with noise typically of ~ 0.4 mV, which combined with an ability to operate from 1-30 Hz offers improved S/N in application for most customers. With such performance it is possible to feed the sensor output directly into a micro-controller without further amplification, reducing the system manufacturing cost and increasing product value.
The Pyreos thin film IR sensor material is manufactured on a stable thermal membrane that is itself created over a solid silicon support structure, and it is this solid state device structure that imparts the excellent overall stability that provides a platform for application even in the most challenging detection environments. This high performance is available with a high level of part-to-part performance uniformity as a consequence of the controlled semiconductor testing used throughout the manufacturing process, complemented by rapid delivery times and competitive pricing. Standard Pyreos filter options include options for carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon, methane, whilst our sensors can also be used for detecting ppm levels of nitrous oxide, SF6, hydrogen sulphide and many other gases.
The miniature quad channel gas sensor product offers new opportunities in low cost, compact, multi-gas detection, including uses in diagnostic breath analysis. This product allows the customer to specifiy or supply the four filter window types to Pyreos to provide a uniquely tailored minature, compact solution.
